See 2411-1129 Jax FKA Francois’s HomepageGo to our official website Recent field trip to First Landing State Park:   “Here are some things I noted!  – sits still for most of the drive, got a little wiggly towards the end (rolling onto his back, crawling to the floor of the car) but it was 20min straight from shelter so can we blame him – he saw a school bus while we were in the car & perked up with curiosity. Makes me wonder if he used to live with a kid  – greeted multiple people (all female) at TJ Maxx. Did not jump or lick much. Very polite.  – took treats very gently even when excited  – pulled a little on the walk, but not too much. He likes to sniff.  – interested in fast bikes going by him, but didn’t pull towards it  – didn’t bark at all during my time with him  – saw multiple dogs on the trail, but didn’t pull too hard towards them. All were on a leash too. Didn’t interact with any dogs  – loves pup cups  – did great when I lifted his lips to check his teeth -loves squeaky toys, rope toys and tennis balls!” This boy can't catch a break! He's been abandoned more than once and also returned by no fault of his own! Let's find this guy the forever home he desperately wants and deserves! His most recent home had him for a few months and said he's amazing with kids and loves to cuddle. He doesn't appear to be potty-trained or know basic house rules (will get into trash) so crating and positive reinforcement will be very important. He was said to chase cats outside but spent time with pet rabbits inside. Estimated 6 months – 1 year old, puppy FRANCOIS doesn't hold back. He is happy, excitable, bouncy, and silly. He runs and runs and runs and has tons of energy, loves tug toys & tennis balls, and loves his treats. Besides puppy energy, Francois has puppy behaviors including not knowing what personal space is. He will sit for a treat but is a bit impatient so you better be ready. We don't know how he feels about other dogs so we will update when we learn more.
