Please make sure to read the narrative below our pet’s photos as you will find a description of our pet with all we know about them, our adoption fee info, and you will find the link to do our online Adoption Application which is the first step in our Adoption Process!     Please read ALL below where you will find answers about the pet, our adoption fees and how to do our adoption application!   Pet Description:  Calliope is a female Lab/Husky looking mix, 61 lbs, two years old.  She came to us as a stray never reclaimed.  She is a bit shy at first but quickly warms up and loves attention, very sweet and gentle & good with other dogs.  Calliope was adopted but has come back to us as she was too much for their cats (not being mean but pestering them constantly) and even their more mellow dog – she is in need of perhaps a very large fenced yard she can romp in and burn off some energy.  She also would not get the housetraining deal sadly and they tried.  She is a wonderful dog, just a lot of energy and having trouble with learning housetraining.   DOG ADOPTION FEE is $100. This Adoption fee includes: mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your dog or puppy home with you; basic canine immunizations (DHPP-CPV & Bordatella Intranasal); de-wormings; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; heartworm test if over five months old; microchip from 24-Pet Watch; certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, and more.  (If a dog is sponsored or has a waived or lower fee, that info will be provided at the point of adoption to the approved adopter).   The first step is to our Adoption Application here:  https://elmorehumane.org/adoption-application-online-form2.html .   IMPORTANT – we respond to your emailed applications and queries via email back to you.  Please make sure you have either added our email  (hselco@bellsouth.net)  to your contact list or that you routinely check your SPAM folder for our response just to be safe.
