She arrived as a stray, obviously having had a litter or two and never reclaimed which is good bc it means we will ensure she is done acting as a mama and now gets to be the baby of a new family! Big Mel is jumpy and bouncy. She doesn't really sit for treats (yet) as she seems so excited to the attention she's getting. She does love treats though and I imagine in time, some daily obedience training will be awesome for adding to the strength of the bond you will get with her. Big Mel might be that girl who doesn't stop when she's in her happy place running towards you in joy and she might be that girl who charges into you! But with her petite 35-ish pound body, hopefully everyone will be good to go. We don't know how she feels about other dogs but will update when we learn more. Please note even if she likes other dogs, we strongly encourage supervision. Big Mel is currently in a back kennel so if you come in to meet her and don't see her, please just ask!
