Ace is the kind of dog who quietly works his way into your heart and then never leaves. In fact, he’s already stolen the hearts of volunteers, kennel staff, fosters, and just about everyone who has had the pleasure of meeting him. Ask around and you’ll likely hear the same review over and over again: Ace is a 10/10 good boy. This sweet boy may be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he feels comfortable, his affectionate and goofy personality shines through. Before long, you’ll have a loyal companion who loves handing out kisses, soaking up cuddles, and staying close to his favorite people. Ace has settled beautifully into foster care and appears to be both potty trained and house trained. He has great manners around the home, is comfortable spending time in his crate, and walks nicely on leash, making him an easy companion to bring along on daily adventures. He’s also a smart boy who already knows commands like “sit” and “lay down.” One of Ace’s favorite things in the world is spending time with other dogs. He loves having canine friends to play with and especially enjoys a good game of tug. Whether he’s romping around the yard, wrestling with a buddy, or proudly carrying around one of his fluffy toys, Ace knows how to have fun. When playtime is over, you’ll often find him rolling around happily in the grass or looking for affection from his people. He has a wonderful balance of playful energy and sweet companionship that makes him a joy to have around. Ace is looking for a family that will give him a little time to settle in and show his true personality. Once he does, you’ll discover a loving, loyal, and endlessly endearing dog who is ready to be someone’s best friend. If you’re searching for a dog who is equal parts sweetheart, goofball, cuddle bug, and best friend, Ace is ready to prove why everyone who meets him becomes part of his fan club. They were rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas.Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
