Critter Details

Anna,â&#194&#128&#194&#157 ID: 777721, was brought to our home as a foster on 15 October, after her spay surgery on 13 October. She is shown by ACS to be about 2yrs old and is seeking a forever home. OBSERVATIONS/MEDICAL: Anna came to us with a case of kennel cough for which we had to isolate her. We were given doxycycline from ACS for treatment. She is presently (as of 4 Nov 2025) being treated with Clotrimazole antifungal cream and Ketoconazole tablets for ringworm on her right back leg. She has also been reported to have a fatty nodule on her left front elbow; possibly due to resting on hard surfaces according to ACS veterinary reports. She did well in her isolation, but you could definitely tell she really wanted to be with the pack (our other dogs and us humans). Anna appeared to very recently had puppies which we opine has helped in establishing her sweet, gentle demeanor. Based on our three weeks of hosting this very sweet girl, can confirm the following:?? Good with our other three Huskies; is slightly alpha with our other two females (but not our male)?? Is cat friendly; with our two cats?? Loves interacting with humans?? Pulls very slightly on leash, but is getting better?? Medium energy; mellow most of the time (unless playing with other dogs)?? Potty trained (Pees/poops outside); very good about doing her business immediately when put out (and if she actually has to go)?? Kennel trained (slept through the night and is good when placed during day for short time)?? Vocal – sings with our other Huskies ? Kids Unknown, but was gentle and relaxed with children at PetSmart?? Other Training: When directed will sit, leave it, can catch food mid-air. Will fetch a tennis ball and bring it back.?? Food motivated??Primary Colors: Black and white??Trace colors: brown mixed on hind quarters??Eyes: Blue Our interaction with this female Husky Anna has been great. She loves attention and being with the family â&#194&#128&#194&#156pack.â&#194&#128&#194&#157 She also loves to take car rides and looks around, curious about where sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s going. Her favorite position is in submissive and getting belly rubs, is very relaxed, and shows her smiling teeth. As with most dogs, she is food motivated. She loves ice cream and whipped cream (pup cup) treats. She has done very well integrating with the pack, primarily our other three Huskies. She has also learned to be cat friendly. Anna had her first spa treatment with our groomer on 27 October and the staff loved her. She was very happy being cleaned up. Groomer said she had a slight bit of dry skin issues, but not serious. She does well when you need to touch and check her paws when necessary. For a Husky, she does pretty well at training. We have been working on her walking manners and come command. She has recently been taught to catch treats mid-air when tossed to her. She does not appear to have motivation for being an â&#194&#128&#194&#156escape artistâ&#194&#128&#194&#157 that we have observed. With regards to outside wild animals (we live in the country with animals such as gophers, possum, and feral cats which transit our fence yard), she seems to be tuned to their presence and can smell they have traversed our yard. She does NOT react with a high prey drive.
