A few months ago she was sprung from a terrible 70+ small dog hoarding situation in Texas. That was a rough life for her, but it hasn’t stopped her from being a good dog! This middle-aged girl deserves a chill home where she can live out her life stress-free and enjoy being loved on. Annie is a calm, low energy dog and will fit great in a household that wants to keep it low-key. She has adapted well in her foster home with adults, calm older children and dogs. Annie enjoys being around people, in her foster home she has a blanket or bed in each room so she can be close, which is her preference. She seems content to lay in her doggy bed and sleep or watch the going ons. At first, Annie was not much of a cuddler but she now wants to be in the lap or next to her foster family. She can learn to trust and gives back love with her happy doggy sounds! Annie has been diagnosed with a heart murmur that doesn’t seem to impact her daily life. Her records also show she had an ear infection at intake and her foster family has noticed she is very hard of hearing. She seems to hear loud sounds, but not much else. Being hard of hearing hasn’t affected the joy she brings to her foster home. Her forever home will just need to be aware that she takes visual cues instead of audio.
