Energy level: low/medium Potty training: in progress Fenced yard: not required Shared walls: suitable People: adults and children 6+ Dogs: all Other:  Overview Looking for a gentle little shadow to follow you from room to room and fill your home with quiet sweetness? Ariel might be exactly who you’ve been waiting for. Ariel is a 7-year-old dachshund weighing in at about 12 pounds of pure love. She’s a beautiful light brown girl with that classic dachshund charm. She came to Little Paws from a responsible breeder and is now looking for a forever home to call her own. What makes Ariel special? She is calm, gentle, and completely devoted to the people she loves. Her favorite place in the entire world is right beside her person: curled up on the couch, tucked into a lap, or snuggled in the big bed at night. If you’re sitting down, she’ll be there. Environment Ariel is a low-energy, easygoing girl who is happy to match your pace. She doesn’t need much: a short walk, a little playtime, and lots of quality couch time will keep her perfectly content. She’s fully crate trained but honestly doesn’t need one; when left alone, she simply finds a comfy spot, naps, and patiently waits for you to come home. She is still working on housetraining and leash walking. She didn’t get the chance to learn these things earlier in life, but she’s trying hard and with a little patience and consistency she’ll keep making progress. Ariel is quiet overall and does not bark much. While she does love food, she doesn’t grab or beg. She has done well on short car rides.    Pets & People Ariel is a warm, friendly girl who loves people of all kinds. She does well with children over 6 years old and gets along great with other dogs, so she’d be just as happy joining a multi-pet household as she would being your one spoiled princess. She has not been tested with cats.    Location Ariel is being fostered in Florence, SC.  Please email juliejohnson@littlepawsdr.org   with any questions or complete an adoption application at the button above. The adoption fee for Ariel is $325.00.
