AtlasAre you looking for an incredibly high driven Mal that needs to be worked every day for hours on end??Well then, this is not your guy!I would describe Atlas as a medium drive and medium energy Mal. He is the sweetest Mal I’ve seen when it comes to new people. A true Velcro dog, he will walk next to me throughout the house and loves to comfort me with body pressure.Great with strangers both men and womenGood with kids, enjoys playing with the rope with our 5-year-old sonGood with cats (ours is not a fan of dogs and he has learned to give the cat his space)Working on appropriate play with our resident dogs but will walk by new dogs with little interest70+ pounds2 years old When Atlas came to us, he was understandably nervous, struggled with pulling on the leash, general impulse control and did not want to settle into his crate.In two weeks’ time he has shown himself to be incredibly adaptable and a quick learner. He now walks politely on a leash, waits for his food and at doors, and will sleep in the crate with the door open.He is starting to really grow into his love for toys and exercise. He has really taken to the tug and Bikejoring. He is food motivated so also enjoys puzzles and his feeder mat.He doesn’t need intense exercise or long periods of work, I believe he is just looking for a person to spend his time with and go on fun adventures like hiking, jogging or other sports.  MIDAS#MadLoveMidas located in TexasFrom his foster:He doesn’t startle easily from what I’ve seen. He’s been with me just about two weeks.His personality has really just started showing up. He is interested in new things.He doesn’t have a ball drive but is learning about toys and new things. I think he has medium level energy but it could be still developingI think he would be good with a job and/or sport.He is food and treat motivated.He is also motivated by affection.Midas has been quarantined and we are just able to learn just how amazing he is! If you are within 4 hours of the pet, please be prepared to pick the pet up. We do provide transport assistance up to 350 miles.
