Age: Approx 2 years old Weight: Approx 60 lbs.   Atlas is a 2-year-old boy who is as gentle and sweet as they come. He does wonderful with other dogs and has a calm, easygoing nature, but he’s still a little shy as he’s learning what kind, loving human touch feels like. Atlas was picked up by animal control on the side of the road, and while we don’t know his full past, we suspect he may not have been treated very kindly at one point in his life. Despite that, Atlas has no aggression at all—just a tender heart that’s slowly learning it’s safe to trust. Since being in foster care, he has already made so much progress. Atlas will be the perfect companion for someone with patience, compassion, and a gentle heart—someone willing to show him what real love looks like and how a dog is truly meant to be treated.  **As part of the donation, this dog will participate in a spay/neuter program available through  Anchor Paws Rescue.** If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website – http://AnchorPawsRescue.org/aa.  Email my foster parent for more information – cedarling@comcast.net Please verify location and availability of this dog.  Because we rescue animals from various states, some dogs may not be in the Northeast yet, or may not yet be ready for adoption. Once you have chosen a specific dog that you would like to adopt, if you would like to move forward with the adoption approval process, the next step would be to submit a $200 deposit donation. You can pay your deposit securely through PayPal at this link:    Once we have your deposit, we will hold the dog for you while we process your application. If you are not approved to adopt, or we cannot provide the dog you are interested in, your deposit will be promptly refunded. If you are approved, the deposit is applied toward the total donation of the dog. If the dog you are interested in is not a good match, we will work with you to find another dog, and your deposit will be transferred to that dog. If you change your mind for any reason, your deposit is not refundable! Transport costs are normally included in the adoption donation, unless otherwise noted.
