Name:  August         Best Guess for Breed:  Lab and hound mix  Best Guess for Age:   6 months as of November 2025         SEX: Male   Approximate Weight:  34 lbs as of 11/4/25 – he is still growing!   Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven’t seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   August is Looking For:  His forever home! August is just getting out of the puppy phase and ready to be the cutest teenage doggo ever! He is eagerly looking forward to having his own humans for sniffy walks and all the adventures he can dream up. And dog school so he can show how super smart he is. And then pets and cuddles and belly scritches at the end of a fun day together.  Most of all, though, he wants to know he is safe and loved.
