Austin is a happy, energetic pup who thrives on affection and activity. With his playful spirit, he’ll eagerly entertain himself with toys if you're not engaging with him, showing off his fun-loving and independent side. Austin is known for his sweet, submissive grin and has a great appetite. He’s about 75% housebroken. He occasionally marks, but he is taking correction well and belly bands will help while he continues this training. He’s crate trained and will go into his crate on command, but if the crate’s location changes, he may bark for a few days as he adjusts. Despite that, he’s generally quiet in the crate once settled. Austin loves going for walks, running, playing with other dogs, and car rides. He enjoys being outdoors and always looks forward to exploring new places. While he adapts well to changes, any food adjustments should be made gradually, though he’s not particularly sensitive to food. Austin would do best with an active family or someone who can give him plenty of attention and exercise. He’s affectionate, playful, and ready to bring joy into the lives of his future family! Austin is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 11/2/2024 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 5PM and 9PM. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame.  Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
