Meet Bacon — Small But MIGHTY! Bacon and her three siblings—Bagel, Brioche, and Butter—have a story that could have ended very differently. They arrived at the shelter far too young, scared, dirty, starving, and very sick with an upper respiratory infection. Their eyes were so goopy they could barely see, and they were having trouble breathing. Because they were so young and sick in an overcrowded shelter, they were placed on the euthanasia list. But then a volunteer stepped up to foster! We were able to rescue these babies just a couple of hours before they were scheduled to be euthanized, and with some much-needed love and medical care, they transformed. Now they're healthy, happy, playful, and finally getting the chance to show everyone just how special they are. Bacon may be the smallest of the Breakfast Club, but somebody forgot to tell her that she's supposed to act like it! This tiny girl is small but mighty and can absolutely hold her own in a wrestling match. Her favorite opponent? Her enormous brother, Butter. Despite being the biggest and smallest kittens in the litter, these two are constantly finding each other for another round of their very serious “mortal combat.” Watching this tiny girl take on her giant brother is one of the cutest things you’ll ever see. But underneath that feisty little wrestler is an incredibly sweet and gentle girl. Bacon starts purring almost immediately when you pick her up and absolutely loves curling up in someone's lap for a cozy snooze. She is already shaping up to be a total lap cat.Of course, she also knows how to have fun! Bacon loves chasing wand toys, crinkly balls, and sparkly puff balls, and she is always ready for a good game with her siblings.Bacon has met lots of people, resident cats, and a small dog in her foster home. She can be a little shy and cautious when meeting someone new, but she's friendly and curious once she has a chance to figure things out. She has a sweet, demure little personality and just needs someone willing to give her the time and space to feel comfortable.She would likely do well with gentle, respectful children who understand that she is still very small and fragile, even if she doesn't always realize it herself!Bacon is still too young to be adopted as an only cat and needs a home with another young, playful kitty friend. She would especially love to go home with her brother Butter, her favorite wrestling partner! This tiny girl has already fought so hard to get here. Now she just needs a forever family who will show her that the rest of her story gets to be happy. Small? Yes. Mighty? Absolutely. Sweet?
