Hi there. My name is BANCHIE and here is a little info about me:Breed: Golden Retriever / Shepard mixAge: 11 monthsGender: MaleWeight: 20 kgCountry of origin: Middle EastHighlights: playful, gentle, polite, confident, calm, loyal, smartHello! I’m a happy boy who loves nothing more than being around people and other dogs. Sometimes, when a toy is thrown for me, I am more excited to return to my person than spending time with the toy!I once had a home, but for some reason I don’t understand, I was abandoned in a park, feeling lonely and scared. I found some other stray dogs in the park which was good, as I’m a social fellow. We all were trying to survive and I longed for human connection and a home of my own once again. Luckily, there was a park security guard who took a liking to me. He noticed that I was a bit more timid and I welcomed his attention. He was very kind to me, letting me stay with him in his kiosk when he was working. He tried to find someone who might take me home and even put up posters to see if anyone was looking for me. After some time, he knew I would have more of a chance finding a forever home and family if he took me to a shelter. Now I’m safe and get lots attention from the shelter staff and volunteers. I play with the other dogs and get along with all of them.Sometimes the people at the shelter feed us by hand when we’re all playing together, which I accept very gently and am polite when the other dogs are being fed.I’m always interested in interacting, eager to please and learn very quickly. When with the other dogs, I’m confident, but also calm and know when to play or find another friend. I would be a loyal, cuddly friend and companion if you adopted me and made me a part of your life. I'm even chill in the car: https://youtube.com/shorts/XGJU7M5dYJY?feature=share.I would do best in a home where I could become part of a loving family who would include me in activities and adventures. Because I’m such a smart, fun guy, I’d be up for pretty much anything, even something like agility! I’d also be your best buddy to share the couch with watching a movie.Additional vids: https://youtu.be/jnFvkDNMqZ0, https://youtu.be/STJhfWt3ZnE, https://youtube.com/shorts/9P20HEkbKHk?feature=share,https://youtube.com/shorts/oDFEvok7Uwc?feature=share, https://youtube.com/shorts/IKTdwXEEJ8I?feature=shareEnergy Level: moderateI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: unknownKids: yesFears: None observed. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver.Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in – at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 – $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website.[MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] *Dogs receive 4D SNAP tests – which include: Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis.
