Meet Bandit – The Life of the Pack! Bandit isn’t just a dog—he’s a little spark of joy wrapped in fur! Since landing in Rhode Island, this lively character has been blossoming like a wildflower in spring. And guess what? Bandit is part of the legendary TOSH LITTER! Yep, those adorable Corgi mixes everyone’s talking about. But Bandit and his sister? They’re clearly from another mister—think Aussie or Border Collie vibes. Translation: brains, beauty, and a dash of working-class charm! Bandit’s happiest when his crew—both human and canine—is close by. He’s the ultimate team player, always making sure the pack sticks together. House-training? Moving right along! Crates? Not his jam (he’s a free spirit, after all). But leave him alone for a few hours after a good romp, and he’s golden—no destruction, no drama. He’ll snooze, snuggle his stuffies, or hang with his doggie pals. Pro tip: a tired Bandit is a happy Bandit! Oh, and did we mention he’s super smart? This boy picks up cues faster than you can say “fetch!” With the right training and attention, he’ll be your go-to hiking buddy, walking partner, and fetch champion. Don’t let his smaller stature fool you—Bandit brings big color, laughter, and adventure to any home. These pups are still learning the ropes—house training, leash manners, all that jazz—so we strongly recommend obedience classes. They’re not just about commands; they’re about confidence, socialization, and building that unbreakable bond with your new best friend. Ready to add a little Bandit magic to your life? He’s ready to make every day brighter! Medical Note:  This dog is being treated/has been treated for demodectic mange, a non-contagious skin condition. The dog has responded well to this treatment and is ready for adoption, though may still have some bald patches and/or thin fur in places.  Please note that demodex can flare up in any dog in times of stress (eg, transport, transition to a new home, change in food, etc). As such, the adopter is advised to discuss this condition and best next steps with their veterinarian. SOS recommends that dogs with a history of demodectic mange be kept on regular NexGard or Bravecto for flea/tick prevention for at least 3 months after adoption for adults or until 18 months of age for puppies.  Please see here for more information on demodectic mange, and talk with your Adoption Counselor about this condition.  Please check with your vet if you have any questions or concerns about this medical history An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see   HERE   for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website:   Adoption Application – SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org)   **Additional info you should know – For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
