Hi. My name is Bark Wahlberg (Bear) and here is a bit of info about me:Breed: Australian shepherd/Husky mixAge: 3 monthsGender: MaleWeight: 6 lbsHeight: 10 inchesCountry of origin: MexicoHighlights: silly, calm, snuggly, sweetHello there! I’m the New Kid on the Block! I’m all of sweet silliness that comes to mind when you think of puppies my age, but my rescuer says that I am a surprisingly calm, snuggly pup.I was found with my mom and 7 siblings on the grounds of a local high school. Despite being covered in fleas and abrasions and left in 110 degree heat, my family and I were Hanging Tough when some kind community members came to our rescue! Between the three of them, we were all able to be taken to safety and given the medical attention we needed. Now that I’ve been given the time and care I need to recover, it’s becoming clear that I’m all about those Good Vibrations! More on the low-moderate energy end of the scale… so you can definitely expect more sweet dreams than Boogie Nights. I’m basically the perfect new addition to any Entourage!Vids with kids time: https://youtube.com/shorts/TLOEUYjy02w?si=bK8mB9NZLxevcF55, https://youtube.com/shorts/HtH_OlykCSc?si=STbt78VlzCPoK4jA, https://youtube.com/shorts/c4NUx7lfwrk?si=-Y9y_lczLpVetfma.Energy Level: moderate – lowI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: unknownKids: unknown. Rescuer states yes, but awaiting video proof.Fears: none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training: some, using puppy pads in homeLeash skills: no. Please be prepared to train me.House trained: in process. Please help me finish learning!Health notes:I am too young yet to be spayed/neutered, but I am vaccinated and microchipped. Spay/neuter will be the responsibility of the adopter and is required for my adoption to be finalized.Loved at Last will pay for a microchip. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver.Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in – at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live.
