Barnie — The Chonky, Wobbly Food-Loving Goofball Barnie is an absolute delight of a kitten—a chonky, adorable little food enthusiast who lives for mealtimes, playtime, and running around with his siblings. He loves his wet food so much that he’s a bit chunkier than the rest, and it’s honestly part of his charm. His foster mom says it’s hilarious how dramatic he gets when his siblings come near him during feeding time—Barnie does not share food, thank you very much! Between meals Barnie loves to play, zoom, and bounce around the house, especially with his toys and his wobbly siblings.Like his brother and sister, Barnie has cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), or “wobbly cat syndrome”—a non-progressive, non-contagious neurological condition that simply affects his coordination. CH gives him that cute “drunken sailor” wobble and makes certain things—like stairs—a little trickier, but it will never affect his ability to live a full, healthy, wonderful life. Barnie will do best in a safe home with plenty of rugs or soft surfaces to help stabilize his movements, elevated food and water bowls, and a low-entry litter box. A home without stairs—or with baby gates to keep them safely blocked—is ideal for him. While he’ll always wobble, CH is not progressive so it will never get worse, and as he grows he’ll get better at navigating day-to-day life. He occasionally needs a gentle bath because he’s a very messy eater, and he tends to wear more wet food on his little face than he actually eats!Barnie is incredibly playful and full of energy, and watching him run, tumble, and wrestle with his siblings Pebbles and Bamm is endlessly entertaining. Their uncoordinated kitten wrestling is both chaotic and adorable. Barnie has met many people and even a small dog in his foster home, and he’d do well in a loving, understanding household with humans who appreciate his special needs and adore him for the precious boy he is.Because he is still very young, Barnie absolutely needs to go to a home with at least one other kitty friend—and he would be thrilled to be adopted with one or both of his siblings. While he isn’t always the biggest cuddler, he loves attention and is very affectionate. His foster mom says she’ll miss his messy little face and his chonky baby belly more than anything.Barnie is a treasure—sweet, silly, wobbly, playful, and full of love. If you’re looking for a uniquely special kitten who will bring endless joy and laughter to your home, this chonky boy is ready to wobble his way right into your heart.WE DO NOT HAVE A PHYSICAL LOCATION AS WE ARE A FOSTER-BASED ORGANIZATION.
