‘BLT’ THEMED PUPPY:  Approx. 3 – 4 months old / Approx. 8 lbs. & growing Hi, my name is Barrett!  I was in a bad situation along with other dogs that weren’t properly cared for, so thankfully animal control got involved and helped me (and the other dogs) get to Mostly Mutts so I can start living a good life with a wonderful family!  I’m a young pup, and thankfully I’m in a great foster home now, having fun and not worrying about the past.  So, if you’re looking for a fun little puppy, perhaps I could be the one • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I love my siblings and would likely enjoy another dog to play with in my new home if you have a nice doggie that would like a puppy friend, so let’s meet!  I’ve also been socializing with the 2 dogs that live next door through the fence and I seem to like them too. I do get talkative with them, but I want to be a good boy, so I listen when my foster tells me to ‘come here’ and ‘quiet down’.  I think that says that I’ll be a good learner. / There are 2 kitties in my foster home that rule the roost and I’ve been fine with them, so if you have a kitty, let’s meet. / I’ve spent time with kids ages 7 to 16 years old and I liked playing with them, so if you have kids around those ages, let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me.  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m very social and loving as well as energetic and fun! The Mostly Mutts photographer described me as fun, happy and NOT shy. I love to play but also know how to calm down and chill with my people. / My energy level is 4 – 6 in my foster home.  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I think I’m a smart little guy as I’m already starting to understand some basic commands such as ‘potty’, ‘come’, ‘no’ and ‘down’.  I also come running when the treat bag gets shaken.  I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog, so get ready for some training with your new best friend. / I do well in my crate along with my brother, sleeping through the night.  Of course, there will likely be an adjustment period in my new home. / I’m pretty good at using my potty pad and I’m at the beginning of my outside potty training and will need you to finish training me in this area. Also, I’m little so please stay close to me outside so the birds of prey don’t take an interest in me.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love playing with my brother and leaping and jumping in the yard – especially in the leaf piles.  Tug of war and playing with a ball also entertain me! I like hugs and kissing faces, cuddling and sleeping on my person, small chewy bones and puppy training treats. / I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m young, except when I don’t get attention!  I’m also sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow.  I’m also micro-chipped and neutered.
