Beamer’s story is one that breaks your heart before it warms it. She was found dumped like trash on a rural backroad, left to fend for herself alongside seven other dogs we believe to be her family. Her body told the story clearly: she had been bred litter after litter after litter, used and used again, and then discarded once she was no longer “useful.”When she first arrived, Beamer didn’t know anything about the world a dog should know.Beds. Toys. Treats. Soft voices. All of it was unfamiliar and terrifying. She had spent her whole life just trying to survive and protect her babies. But slowly—and beautifully—she has begun to trust. With patience, consistency, and reassurance from our caring kennel team, Beamer is starting to bloom. At about 40 pounds, she looks like a petite “mini” Lab/Shar Pei mix, and her gentle eyes say everything. She now steps forward for affection, she’s learning that a leash means walks instead of danger, and she’s discovering that human hands can be soft, kind, and safe. She has gotten a glimpse of what love feels like… but she deserves forever, not just “for now.”Beamer is also healing physically. She has demodectic mange, which may sound concerning, but it’s not. What is Demodex?Demodectic mange is caused by a microscopic mite that ALL dogs naturally carry. When a dog’s immune system is weakened—especially from neglect, stress, overbreeding, and malnutrition—those mites can overgrow and cause hair loss and skin irritation. It is NOT contagious to other pets or people, and with the medical care she is already receiving, she is healing beautifully.Beamer has spent her entire life giving everything she had to her babies. Now, it is her turn to be cared for.She needs a family who will move at her pace, show her patience and gentleness, and commit to loving her for the rest of her life. Not out of sympathy—but because she is truly deserving of a love that is safe, consistent, and forever. If you’ve ever wanted to truly change a life, this is your chance!Puppies 6 months and under are typically $200 and dogs from 7 months to 6 years are typically $100.00.
