Beans is a social butterfly who runs on equal parts joy and shenanigans. At one year old, this 55-pound, spayed husky is already living up to her nickname: the “Mexican Jumping Bean.” Whether she’s hopping around the yard, inviting her dog friends to wrestle, or offering an enthusiastic “woo woo” greeting, Beans brings life to the party! Beans loves the company of other dogs, greeting them on walks with a play bow and her signature husky chatter. She currently lives with another husky and has happily made friends with visiting pups of all shapes and sizes. She also gets along well with cats, but does like to engage in chase; a treat will redirect her from a cat that doesn’t appreciate the game! She’s also wonderful with kids, but might sneak in for a kiss or two. Beans is an enthusiastic greeter of all people. (she’s working on keeping all four paws on the ground!). She’s a well-mannered girl in many ways; housetrained, crate trained, quiet when left alone, and non-destructive. She rides well in the car and walks politely on leash without pulling.  She is good at the vet and has been professionally groomed with no issues. Beans  medium energy level makes her a perfect mix of playful and chill. She loves to play tug and fetch, but also enjoys downtime. She knows basic commands like “sit” and “come,” and she’s eager to keep learning, especially if treats are involved. As for her shenanigans, Beans is an avid digger and has snuck out of the front door a couple of times.  Luckily, her love of treats means she’s never gone far. Continued work on recall will help her learn she can have fun without sneaking around.  She has suspected food allergies and is thriving on a specialized diet that keeps her feeling her best.  Beans is looking for a home that will embrace her playful spirit and continue working on positive reinforcement training.  In return, she will give you endless entertainment, loyal companionship, and a whole lot of husky love.
