Bear may look like a big, serious German Shepherd, but he’s actually a goofy, gentle soul with a heart full of sweetness. He’s incredibly easygoing around new people — he couldn’t care less about strangers and is always happy to accept a few head scratches! Although we haven’t been able to snuggle him fully yet due to some skin issues (which are currently being treated), his affectionate nature shines through. Bear loves carrying around toys, especially anything with a squeaker — he’s such a silly guy! His daily routine is pretty relaxed: he gets up around 6–7 a.m. for a quick potty break, takes a nap before breakfast, enjoys chugging water (and making a big mess in the process!), then settles in for another nap. He’ll emerge when he’s ready for some activities, but his favorite time of day is hands-down when the kids come home from school — he has a joyful burst of energy to greet them before winding down for the evening. One of the cutest things about Bear is his sweet, expressive face and the little noises he makes. He’s not much of a barker; instead, he lets out the most adorable little cries that sound more like a tiny dog than a big shepherd. Bear is the perfect blend of playful and mellow, and he’s going to make some lucky family very happy! Bear is from an Owner Surrender.
