Yes GOOD WITH KIDS: Yes GOOD WITH OTHER DOGS: Yes GOOD WITH CATS: Yes – a little curious, but mostly ignores them PREFERRED CONTACT METHOD & INFO: email –  ali.mentana@gmail.com OTHER INFORMATION ABOUT THE DOG: Bear is a sweet boy who loves to play with toys and with other dogs! He can be a little timid with new people or in new situations, but once he realizes he is safe he is a total love bug! He is very treat-motivated, but is not the brightest boy so it takes him a little time to learn commands. He came out of the shelter with a bad skin infection which has resolved for the most part, but he does still have some allergies that we are trying to identify (we think he may have a chicken allergy and/or a grass allergy, but so far this has been managed with a fish-based diet and occasional baths with medicated shampoo). He also has a knee issue for which he will be getting surgery this summer (at the rescue's expense). He is available for adoption in the meantime provided the adopter is able to adhere to recovery protocol after his surgery.
