Name:    Bella Donna          Best Guess for Breed:   Spaniel/Border Collie Mix    Best Guess for Age:   11 months as of December 2025          SEX:    Female   Approximate Weight:   44 lbs as of November 2025, may still have a bit more to grow   Gets Along With:  Other Dogs! We haven’t seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   Puerto Rico Shelter. Needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here!   Special adoption considerations:   Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think Bella Donna would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure she can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.   Bella Donna is Looking For:    A forever family! This beauty would love a place to call her own and people to love her. All she asks for is some toys, treats, and plenty of love. Since Bella Donna is a herding breed, she would love regular access to a fenced in yard or dog park to run around and some puzzles to keep her brain working. In return, she promises to be a loyal companion.
