Belle Boo is a 12-year-old spayed female Chihuahua with a soft, blonde coat and a heart as gentle as her pace. Weighing just 7.7 lbs, she’s a calm, quiet soul who would thrive in a peaceful, loving home—especially one shared with a senior companion looking for a mellow friend. This sweet girl is potty trained, crate trained, and gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats. She’s comfortable around both men and women, though we’re not sure how she does with children. Belle Boo just needs a few days to settle in and feel safe—she can be a bit nervous if picked up too quickly, so gentle handling and patience are important. Belle rarely barks, and when she does, it’s soft and low—not your typical Chihuahua yip. She prefers relaxing on the floor over cuddling on the couch, walks slowly, and lets you know when she needs to go outside. She’s not much for toys or treats, but her sweet and easygoing nature speaks volumes. Important to know:   Belle Boo sheds quite a bit and will need regular brushing to keep her coat comfortable and healthy. She has mobility limitations—even a small step can be a challenge. For example, she struggles with a single 6-inch step out to the patio and has even tripped over a doormat. Because of this, her new home must be free of stairs or have someone available to carry her up and down any steps, no matter how small.   Belle Boo isn’t looking for excitement—just a safe, calm place to enjoy her golden years, where she’s surrounded by kindness and care. If you’re looking for a low-maintenance, gentle companion to quietly share your days, Belle Boo may be your perfect match. Apply to adopt Belle Boo at Tired Dog Rescue and give this lovely girl the peaceful retirement she deserves.
