Beautiful Bertha is a buff ginger tabby with a plush coat and soulful green eyes. She loves affection and cuddling! She will nudge you with her head and put her paws on you to let you know that she wants to you to keep petting her. She will roll on the ground and show you her belly while making air biscuits, but she'd prefer for you to only rub her chest. She enjoys cardboard scratchers and playing with track ball toys. She likes being brushed and will let you clip her nails if you give her treats. Bertha will be your devoted companion. She always wants to be with you or near you. She will climb on you and follow you around. If you leave, she will be waiting for you by the door. Bertha is very quiet, with a low purr and occasional little squeaks. She let out only one tiny meow on the hour-long car ride to her foster home. Bertha is a calm and gentle cat. A quiet home would be best for her. Bertha was brought to a shelter as a stray, so nothing is known about her life before that. She is adapting wonderfully to the spoiled house cat life. Bertha did not react to seeing the resident cat in her foster home so she would likely get along well with other cats given a slow, proper introduction. Her finder noted she did well around their dog. Bertha has hyperthyroidism, which is easily managed by a pill that she eats in her food. Bertha is ready to go home with you and be your best friend! Fosters are like bridges between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats and dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters.
