After a difficult start to life on the streets, she was rescued and given the chance she truly deserved. Since then, she has made wonderful progress in her foster home and continues to blossom at her own pace. She is a quiet, sweet cat who enjoys playtime and loves to “chat” softly with her people once she feels comfortable. Bijou is independent and undemanding, and she appreciates having cozy spaces where she can retreat when she needs a break. Daily play helps build her confidence, and she does best with patient, understanding humans who will allow her trust to grow naturally. Bijou would thrive in a calm, quiet home. While her experience with dogs and other cats is unknown, her foster believes she may benefit from a laid-back feline companion with slow, proper introductions. Bijou is approximately 1.5 years old, spayed, and fully vaccinated. She is a calm, playful, and affectionate soul looking for a forever home where she can continue to feel safe, loved, and secure.  Adoption applications are reviewed based on the best fit for the animal, not on a first-come, first-served basis.
