My name is Bita, and here is a little info about me:• Breed: Mixed Spitz/Pomeranian • Age: 2 years• Gender: Female• Weight: 15 lb• Height: 10 in• Country of Origin: Middle East• Highlight(s): A little blind angel who “sees” with her heart — social, kind, and full of cuddlesA little about me:I’m a sweet, pocket-sized best friend who loves a nice walk and then curling up in your arms. If you’re looking for a gentle shadow who follows you with love, that’s me.I was born blind, in a little town where sadly, no one ever noticed me. Life wasn’t easy, but I never let it take away my gentle spirit. Eventually, kind rescuers gave me a second chance, and now I’m waiting for someone who will truly see me—not with their eyes, but with their heart. I may not see the world, but I can promise you I will fill your world with love.Calm, kind, lovable, and very social, I enjoy being around people and dogs. I settle beautifully after activity and am happiest when I can be near my humans. I may not see the world, but I make up for it with trust, gentleness, and endless cuddles.I would thrive with a loving family, couple, or individual who wants a small, loyal best friend. I get along beautifully with other dogs, cats, and children. After being invisible for so long, I finally deserve to be the center of someone’s world. Could that be you?Energy Level: Low to moderateI get along with:Dogs: YesCats: YesKids: YesFears: None observed so far. Please be patient and consistent as I settle into new spaces and routines, especially since I navigate by sound, scent, and touch.Training: Leash skills: Yes — please continue to help me grow in confidence.House trained: Yes — please continue to help me grow in confidence.Health notes:I was born blind. I adapt quickly and thrive with gentle guidance (consistent furniture placement, baby gates for stairs if needed, and tactile/scent cues). I am spayed, vaccinated, and microchippedMy adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. While our rescuers always seek a flight without a charge, there is the possibility of a passenger fee, not to exceed $300.Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously but should not begin until your dog is well settled in – at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if the dog is shown to be good with children we will approve homes with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 – $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee.[MID EAST DOGS] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.
