Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs – but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.  Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.  Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.  Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team   Date into Rescue: 07/13/23 Reason for being in rescue: Found as stray in middle North Carolina Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Bonnie is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. You'll see from her pictures that Bonnie has come a tremendously long way since being found in 2023. We do know that regardless of her starting appearance, there was nothing significantly wrong with Bonnie's skin. Nothing that time, food, love and clean conditions did not fix.  Best medicine ever!   Weight: 46 lbs Height: 24 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $599    Fence needed? Yes, Bonnie requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller. What kind of home would be best for me? Bonnie craves adventure in life! She wants to go, go, go. Advancing from stray to a veteran CPR member Bonnie never quite lost her adventurous side! Bonnie is always in the background asking 'why' or 'where' and when answers are not offered up fast enough Bonnie takes matters into her own hands. Bonnie loves a good run in a field, a trip to the lake or simply laying out in the grass in the middle of fall. She loves to seek out her own fun whether that be finding friends to play with or snooping through your trash can. Bonnie definitely knows how to keep you on your feet! Sometimes her independent do-it-myself demeanor does lead her into unfavorable situations, but do not fret – Bonnie is a startlingly smart girl! She understands a firm 'no ma'am' or a simple call of her name to pull her away from her mischievous deeds. Bonnie finds relaxing much easier after a busy day, and once that hunger for a good quest has been sated you will find her asleep in the grass or on a comfy couch. Bonnie is a defyingly independent girl therefore we know she would fair wonderfully as an only dog or with a brother or sister! Bonnie is an extremely chill lady once her play quota has been met and she would love a child to romp around and play with.  What is my personality like? Bonnie loves an active and engaging life; she is all about being a part of life that never stops moving forward. Bonnie loves to play with other dogs, any dogs really! Big, small, medium Bonnie is all for it. Bonnie would love a home with friends and family that come and go. Soccer meet and all the kids are coming to your house – Bonnie loves the sound of that! Camping trip with your family and the neighbors – Bonnie is asking where's the extended family. Bonnie is very happy to be where everyone else is! She loves standing in the middle of chaos. Bonnie is very loving and affectionate regardless of who you are. She approaches everyone with the same confidence. While she enjoys roaming around and doing her own thing, she also loves those same activities with someone by her side. Dog or human. She loves laying back and relaxing and watching the world go by or being a part of all the moving intricacies of life. She takes direction extremely well and is crate trained and leash trained. How do I act when I first meet new people? Bonnie meets new situations and people head on. She wags her tail and smiles at the idea of something new. She loves a fast paced always changing environment as it keeps her stimulated and wears her out just enough to sleep like a baby at the end of the day. Bonnie surely did not let her rough beginning affect her and if anything, she knows it made her stronger! Other tips and tidbits: Bonnie was found as a stray so we have no history on her. Based on overall health and condition she is estimated at 3 years old. We celebrate her birthday 7/13/2021. House trained?  Bonnie has never been known to mess her crate without valid reason. Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note – we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.   To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you – poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.
