Meet Boris: The Shadow with Swagger Boris isn’t just a cat — he’s a whole mood. Cloaked in sleek black fur and strutting with confidence, Boris brings equal parts charm, mystery, and cattitude. Think James Bond, but with whiskers and no regard for your personal space. He’s cautious with new people, but once you earn his trust, prepare for VIP cuddles and slow blinks that say, “You may worship me now.” He’s also a lap lover.Boris is willing to share his spotlight with other cats — he’s ready for a home where he’s got feline friends. Dogs? Meh. Not sure. Kids? The respectful kind are best, but since he’s a big boy, he can hold his own. He deserves a kingdom complete with sunbeams, snacks, and someone to remind daily that black cats are the BEST!Adopt Boris. Your house is boring without him!!! Boris has FIV. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that affects a cat’s immune system, but many FIV-positive cats can live long, healthy, and happy lives with proper care. It’s mainly spread through deep bite wounds, so indoor cats and those in peaceful households are at low risk. With regular vet visits, a good diet, and a loving home, FIV-positive cats can thrive just like any other cat. Born in June 2023. foster: lasc Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes. These ‘guardian kittens’ help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes. These ‘guardian cats’ help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for kittens (6 months & under) $125 for cats (older than 6 months) $75 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email cats@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
