All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step. Meet Brodie, a remarkable mix of Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Australian Shepherd—an Aussalier! This smart, adventure-loving guy has already conquered mountain trails, honed valuable skills through training, and embraced every new experience with enthusiasm. He  is too nervous around young children; thus, when his owners started having a bigger family, Brodie was not impressed with the newcomers.   He likes other dogs, but would prefer a house that he didn't have to share with another dog or children. He was the only "baby" of the house for a few years before his human siblings arrived, and he would like to go back to that position! He enjoyed and learned a great deal during that time because, as you can guess, Brodie is as smart as a whip. Brodie will add so much to your life if you are looking for a fun and active companion! He is eager to bring joy and adventure into your life.   All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped. The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter, and all visits are by appointment only.
