Please contact Tess at tess.desrochers@gmail.com for more information or to adopt.Hi everyone, I am the beautiful Bunny girl (Seima) and here's some information about me:Breed: Australian shepherd, Border Collie, Staffy mixAge: 1.5 years (2 in Sep)Gender: FemaleWeight: 55 lbsHeight: (ground to shoulder): 20 ''My rescue story starts in Texas where I narrowly escaped severe heat stroke and was rescued along with my mom and littermates. After my recsue I was fortunate enough to be adopted, however my previous owner has given me up due to an unsuitable living condition and inability to meet my needs. My currect foster calls me a silly little snugglebug. There is nothing I love more than being on the couch with you and getting some quality cuddles in. I also love to play ball, go on long walks and have enough energy for lots of activities. In contrast to my active nature, I do need the calmness of a settled home where I can feel safe. Playing with other dogs is so much fun, but I am not yet sure what to do with cats or kids. Perhaps you can help me with that? I also need to be reassured that I will always be getting food, so I don't need to guard my meals. Fortunately I have been working on this with my very own trainer, who says I am doing well and have a 100 % chance of overcoming my fears with a person who is willing to commit to the method. Being raised in an overstimulating environment, I tend to get scared and really just need someone to help me overcome my fears and resource guarding, which even though it is only an occasional issue, is the priority for now.Energy Level: moderate, loves a big adventure, but also loves to be cozy and snuggle in at home.I get along with:Dogs: yesCats: no (currently living with one, but being kept separate, could work in time)Kids: noFears: Men, strangers, loud noises.Housetrained: YesVaccinated: Yes, up to date Spayed/neutered: yes, spayed. Microchipped: Yes Training: Seima has made a lot of improvement from just one session of training with a professional. She needs someone committed to consistency in reassuring her. She has had training for little tricks in the past, but needs someone to focus on her feeling safe.Leash skills: Leash trained, but could use more training to stop pulling. Please be patient and help me to learn leash walking. An adoption fee of $100 applies.THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE CONTACT THE PERSON OR GROUP LISTED BELOW. THIS IS NOT A LOVED AT LAST DOG.
