Meet Cali: The Independent Beauty – Cali is a 1 year and 9 months old Domestic Long Hair calico with a personality as striking as her long, luxurious fur. She’s a bit on the independent side and enjoys affection on her own terms—when she wants pets, she’ll let you know, and when she’s done, she’ll make it clear. Cali prefers you to be sitting on her level when petting her, and once she trusts you, she loves to be brushed and petted while you’re sitting together. Cali enjoys spending time in an enclosed catio, where she can safely see the outdoors and climb to high places. She’s been around dogs and other cats, accepting them with ease, though she would do best in a home without children. Cali’s ideal home is quiet and calm, with patient owners who understand her need for space and are willing to let her come to them on her terms. With time, she’ll reward you with her companionship and unique charm. Cali would thrive in a home with another cat or a cat-friendly dog, where she can continue to enjoy her independence while also having the company of other pets. If you’re looking for a cat who knows what she wants and appreciates a calm, understanding environment, Cali could be the perfect match for you. Adopt Cali and give her the peaceful home she deserves! Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible – this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.
