Birthday: April 22, 2016 Were you someone who was terrorized by your own sibling for years and tried to escape the torment? If you did, you'd have something in common with Callie! She was once adopted from LCCR when she was a kitten along with her sister. Her sister didn't think much of her, but their living situation made it easier to acclimate.  It was a two-story home, and Callie would live on one floor while her sister resided on the other. However, when their retired owners downsized to a mobile home, things began to escalate.  Callie had nowhere to hide from her sister's rampage.  The stress caused her to begin to urinate outside her litter box.  Her owners had to make the tough decision to surrender Callie back to LCCR for the sake of her wellbeing.  When her foster came to pick her up, she was terrified, hiding under a chair recliner. It took her weeks to decompress and trust the foster.  Now she's acclimating well to her new living situation, and she's ready to find a new loving home to take her in.  Callie is just too sweet for her own good. She loves to be petted and brushed and enjoy your company.  She'll even start making fresh batches of home-made biscuits in her kitty bed! Her foster home also has many kitties, including young kittens.  You would think she would be done with her feline "friends," but au contraire! They'll invade her habitat, and she doesn't seem to mind them at all! She was declawed at some point, not under our care.  We think with time, patience, and a quiet home, Callie would be a wonderful companion for humans and other pets.   Callie's adoption donation is $75 which includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay.  If you would like more information, please contact Lynn at lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com.
