Affectionate, playful, and full of puppy energy, he’s the kind of dog who greets you like you’ve been gone for days, if you just stepped out for three minutes. This sweet boy loves toys (you’ll be picking up a few each night!), enjoys long walks, and is happiest when he’s with his people. He’s house-trained, does well in his crate after an occasional short protest, and is improving every day on leash. Carnelian knows “sit” and is eager to keep learning with a patient owner. Carnelian gets along well with other dogs and plays nicely in public, though he sometimes guards toys, treats, or his favorite humans (all are new to him). He’s been great with kids and  has adapted wonderfully to city life, handling busy streets and new experiences with curiosity and growing confidence. Carnelian would thrive in a home with a yard to run in and an adopter ready to match his energy and continue his training. Whether he’s zooming around outside or snuggling up after a fun-filled day, Carnelian is an affectionate, loyal companion who will bring joy to a lucky family.
