Meet  Cassian, cass to his friends, is a 10-week-old Labrador retriever/Shepard mix that hails from the great state of Texas.  Cassian's mom was picked up as a pregnant stray by animal control, and brought into rescue after her  stray  hold was up.  Cass was born while in rescue and has  received  proper  nutrition  and age appropriate veterinary care the entire time. Case is a young, energetic dog who is full of personality. He has been working diligently on his leash-training with his current Texan Foster, and they have found that he and does better on a harness for walks than a collar.  (We also recommend walking all dogs using a harness and not their collar for safety reasons)  Case is also working on potty training, but is no where near fully trained.  Consistency is key when potty training puppies.  They all work on the following schedule.. sleep, eat, play, poop and repeat!  taking your pup outside immediately upon waking up, bringing them back inside for breakfast, and then back outside again 20-30 minutes later to "do their business".  Making sure not to play with him while he's supposed to be going potty, as puppies have notoriously short attention spans.  Case is Kennel trained and takes his meals there, as well as any high value treats. This little guy is affectionate, playful, and full of energy. He loves to cuddle, chase his tail, and zoom around snatching up toys. Cassian is friendly with people of all ages and dogs of all sizes, though he can be a little shy at first—but he warms up quickly! He’s smart, eager to please, and even-tempered. While his siblings cry in their crates, Cassian peacefully snoozes, proving he’s a quiet and well-mannered pup. But once he's out, he’s ready for fun!
