Chaplin arrived at the shelter on 5/7 via Animal Control along with another dog. Since intake, he has shown increasing difficulty coping with the shelter environment, with escalating stress and kennel reactivity.Chaplin has demonstrated that he is not comfortable around children and will require an adult-only home moving forward.In playgroup, Chaplin has been able to coexist with other dogs and is generally independent, with only occasional social engagement.Overall, Chaplin is experiencing significant shelter stress that is contributing to increased reactivity. He urgently needs rescue placement or foster support in a structured, adult-only, low-stress environment where he can decompress and stabilize.
