Charlie is a quiet, noble little gentleman with a calm spirit and a heart full of love. He’s the kind of dog who may be a bit shy at first, but once he feels safe, his soft personality and gentle affection shine through. Charlie is intelligent, observant, and oh-so-sweet. He’s mostly potty trained and enjoys the comfort of routine and a calm environment. He’s a little reserved with new people until he understands they are safe. Charles is a sweet, treat-motivated pup who’s always ready to learn, especially if snacks are involved! He rides like a champ in the car, happily listening to podcasts or jamming out to music with his people. Charles is a good boy who takes redirection in stride, and when it’s playtime, he lights up—chasing toys, tossing them around, and having the best time. Look at this video of Charles watching TV and this video of him retrieving treats from a toy treat dispenser. He’s most at ease with another dog around, as that’s what he’s used to and where he finds a little extra confidence. A doggy playmate would be a bonus for him, though he’d also do just fine as your one and only. Charlie would thrive in a gentle, understanding home that gives him the time he needs to come out of his shell. Once he does, you’ll see what a truly lovely companion he is.
