Charlotte is a 10 year old, 6.2 pound eloquent and majestic long leg black beauty Chihuahua mix. Charlotte came to be a CAWS dog from a high kill shelter out of state. It is so sad because they are dang near perfect little creatures. We are thrilled she is now a CAWS dog as she will be safe for the rest of her days. She is such a magnificent little older gal, unique as can be. She is totally house and crate trained. She gets along with all the other dogs in her foster home, male and female, big and small. She is a little on the slender side so we are trying to put a pound or two on her. Charlotte has had blood work, been spayed and had a dental with 10 teeth extracted, multiple missing and multiple broken. We are so relieved this pain is behind her now too! She was such a brave girl and pulled through this ordeal like an awesome trooper! She is quiet as a mouse, you hardly know she is even around, she will occasionally do a little yelp if she wants some attention. She does follow you from room to room to room to be sure you are not leaving her behind. Due to her age it is preferred she go to a home with a yard and 2-legged people who work from home or can take her to work with them, or retired so she is not alone. She does okay in a crate but we do not want her to live in a crate now at this time of her life. She does like to cuddle on the couch and sleep with her 2-legged people, but she is okay with a bed on the floor too some of the time. She gives the softest, gentlest kisses, so dang sweet. Due to her age she should go to a family with no kids or older. If you can give this superb little lady a safe and secure home with unconditional love for the rest of whatever time she may have left, please fill out an application for a meet and greet. Charlotte should have never ended up in a shelter but she crossed our path and so now will find her furever lasting home that she is so deserving of.
