Meet Charlotte, a six-month-old kitten with a gentle soul and a playful spirit. She came from a home with many cats and is still learning to fully trust people. Charlotte can be a bit shy at first and is a little nervous around hands, but she warms up with patience and kindness. Once she feels safe, she loves to sit on your lap or curl up next to you for snuggles. Charlotte is especially close with her mom and sister and loves to chase and wrestle with them. Kitty wands are her favorite toy, and she’ll happily leap and pounce during playtime. She has a soft spot for churros and perks up the moment she hears the treat bag. Charlotte may take a little time to adjust, but she’s a total sweetheart once she bonds with you. She would do best in a calm, patient home where she can build confidence at her own pace. With love and a little time, Charlotte will make a gentle and loyal companion. Charlotte is from a local impound. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals. Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
