Name:  Charly      Best Guess for Breed:  Terrier/wire-haired terrier mix Best Guess for Age:  2 years as of February 2025     SEX: Male   Approximate Weight:  29.6 pounds as of February 2025   Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven’t seen him with kids or cats, but he can be tested.   Currently Living at: Shelter! Needs a foster or forever home.    Special adoption considerations: Because Charly was transferred into our care before the shelter could alter him, he has not yet been neutered. We will alter him as soon as possible. However, if he is adopted before he is neutered, his adopter will become responsible for altering him. This must be done by March 22, 2025. There are NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this.    Charly is Looking For: His forever home! He landed in the shelter through no fault of his own. He hasn’t seen nearly enough of the world yet. He’s eager to get his own humans for long sniffy walks, romps in parks, and all the adventures his new family can dream up. Trips to the beach, the mountains, Starbucks for pup cups – yes, please! Making lots of pup and people pals along the way is high on his wish list, as are quality kibble and and a cushy dog bed. But you know what he wants most of all? To know where he belongs, to know who his people are, and to be safe and loved. In exchange, he offers the stockpile of adoring gazes and little tail wags he has amassed – and loyal companionship for all his days.  What do you say? Trotting by your side?  What My Foster Says About Me:  We will update this once this pup has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with his foster! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
