Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. Chase is a doodle (we don't know what breed mixture). Only a DNA test will confirm what he is. We cannot guarantee he is hypoallergenic or that he does not shed. Chase will be neutered the week of 2/10/25 and ready for his forever home the week of 2/17/25. We are accepting applications to adopt now. Weight: 40 lbs (est) Height: 24 in Spayed/Neutered: unknown Adoption Fee: $599 Fence needed? Yes, Chase requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller. What kind of home would be best for me? Chase loves being the center of attention and he thrives off of human cuddles and affection, so much so that he would prefer to have human(s) who are home more than they are away. When Chase is left alone, he misses his humans dearly and often cries for them to come back. He would be best suited in a single family home versus a townhome due to his quirky, vocal nature. Chase does require another large, active dog in the home for play and socialization. He needs someone who will consistently provide love and gentle care for him. Chase is currently underweight and will need to be fed 3x a day in order to get a little more weight on him to ensure he has the healthiest, happiest life possible. Chase is the ideal dog for either a family or a couple and is sure to make the perfect, loyal companion. He gets along great with other dogs and enjoys romping in the sun with other canine friends!  What is my personality like? Meet Chase – a bundle of joy with a heart full of love! This sweet boy is always ready to brighten your day with a wagging tail and a big, happy smile. He is a true sweetheart and adores being pet and receiving affection. Chase is doing phenomenal at things like potty training and learning simple commands, but he still needs socialization and more positive learning experiences! He’s an easy-going boy who simply just wants your undivided attention. Whether it’s playtime, a cozy snuggle session, or simply following you around, Chase will be his happiest when he is by your side. Chase has been extremely sweet and friendly to his daily caregivers and we know he will be just the same with his new humans. Precious, sweet, full of life, and nonetheless! If you’re in search of the sweetest, most adorable boy, Chase is ready to steal your heart! How do I act when I first meet new people? Friendly Other tips and tidbits: Chase was estimated by 3 years old when surrendered to the NC shelter. We celebrate his birthday 1/27/23. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you – poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you.
