Critter Details
Chelby is an approximately 6 year old Bichon mix who currently being fostered in Waterloo. She was released from a breeding facility after doing her time as a Mill Mom. She has a bright white curly coat and a little tail that never stops wagging. Chelby has come a very long way since leaving her old life behind. She responds very well to human interaction and gets along with other dogs and cats. She currently weighs 11 pounds and will soon be visiting our veterinarians for a head to tail work up and all her vaccines. Chelby is quickly picking up housebreaking and uses a pee pad inside as well. She’s a very gentle trusting soul and comes to us for pets and snuggles. She sleeps on dog beds or human beds. She’s not destructive in the home but likes to carry things from place to place. She can do our outdoor stairs but needs help to get up on furniture. She eats her small breed kibble and drinks well with no digestive issues. She can be handled and bathed without any fuss. Chelby is quickly learning a lot about life in the city. Things like neighbour dogs and sirens are new to her and she lets us to know something is happening, but quickly responds to reassurance that everything is ok. Chelby would do well in a house or apartment with someone home at least part of the day. She can be left for several hours and will be waiting to greet you on your return tail a-wagging! Her new family should be prepared to give her time to fully adapt to being a family pet as many things are new to her. Chelby is ready to say “Yes to a new Address!”
