Don’t forget!! We are currently open by appointment only. This is to control the traffic in the building at one time. If you would like to look at the cats/dogs for adoption, or if you need to relinquish or to do any other business, please message our FB page or call us at 304-267-8389 to schedule an appointment. If you see a specific pet for adoption on our FB page we can always set up a specific meet and greet for that as well.         This absolutely adorable guy came to us from PG County Shelter. He is a very, very happy boy. Loves everyone he meets. Even likes other dogs. He rode great in the vehicle coming here. Here’s what someone had to say about Chester! ‘ Thank you Berkeley County! His bio on the Friends of PG County shelter mentioned that he is housetrained, knows his commands, was in the gentle and dainty playgroup, and very people-friendly (especially loves men). He’s going to be such a great addition to someone’s home. His person wasn’t able to care for him anymore after a prolonged period of unemployment. ‘  Thank you Megan and friends for taking sweet boy Chester out for ‘Doggy Day Out’. Here is what she had to say about this handsome guy: ‘We took Chester out to enjoy the beautiful weather today, and he was such a good boy! Our little adventure started with a dog wash, which he handled so well. After that, we headed over to the park where we spent some time just sitting and enjoying the sunshine before going on a nice long walk. We finished with a stop at PetSmart, which he also did great in. Chester was amazing in the car and did really well being out around other people in public. He walked good on the leash and stayed very well behaved the whole time. The only time he got a little extra excited was when he saw new people, he just really wanted to say hi! It was clear he was so happy to have the interaction and be out exploring. Overall, he did such a great job and was an absolute joy to take out today. He really loved getting out, enjoying the weather, and experiencing everything around him.’   Chester is a short guy with tons of love to give! Adoption fee… $175, cash or credit card, includes spay/neuter, first shots and microchip.. If you already have a dog, bring them in with you for a ‘meet and greet’. Mon.-Sat. 10-4We understand not everyone can adopt a pet. Some homes are full, some homes do not allow certain pets and some have lifestyles that can’t handle a pet right now. You can still help. Sharing pictures on FB, volunteering, or just coming in and sponsoring part of the adoption fee for when the pet is adopted. This helps a lot. No amount is too small to donate towards the adoption fee. If you would like to help sponsor, speak to one of the staff. Especially the cats and kittens need help (since we usually have so many!) Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank You!
