Name:  Chevron         Best Guess for Breed:  Chihuahua mix Best Guess for Age: 6 months as of July 2025       SEX:   Male Approximate Weight:   9.6 lbs as of 7/14/25 – he is still growing!   Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven’t seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  Puerto Rico shelter – needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get on a freedom flight here!   Special adoption considerations:   Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are committed to helping them acclimate to a completely new environment. Giving Chevron opportunities to interact with other dogs here (doggie playdates, welcoming resident dog in the home, doggie daycare, etc.) will help him so much – they will show her the ropes!    {DOG’S NAME} is Looking For:  His forever family! This happy, enthusiastic pup has all that awesome young-dog energy and is eager to have his own humans for long sniffy walks, romps in the park, and exploring the world – coming all the way from Puerto Rico, he hasn’t seen nearly enough of it. He’d love to make pup pals along the way, too. Quality kibble, cushy dog beds, peanut butter-filled Kongs – yes, please. But you know what he wants most of all? To know where he belongs, to know he’s safe and loved for all his days. He promises adoring gazes (LOOK at that face!) and loyal companionship in return. What do you say?
