Critter Details
Chip is a cheerful, people-loving puppy. He even cuddled up to the veterinarian both before and after his neuter surgery. On walks Chip likes to stick close–although squirrels are a real distraction. Chip's foster Mom reports he is house-trained, sleeps through the night, rides quietly in the car, and has a generally mellow temperament. He can be crated but doesn't need to be. His inner heeler comes out whenever something can be unstuffed, so chew bones and rubber treat toys are much less messy. He is not a big fan of being alone and will howl his unhappiness at being deprived. Having a playful canine companion is helpful, but he prefers to keep his people nearby and ready to provide frequent snuggles. Rescue Ranch puppies are raised through our puppy foster program. They will have met adults, children, often other dogs, maybe cats. 16-week or older puppies will have taken part in our "Reading to Rescue Pups" program and attended many events. When they are at least 8 weeks old, puppies are given a wellness exam by a licensed veterinarian. Before going home, all puppies will have been dewormed and received all age-appropriate vaccinations for parvo/distemper, and Bordetella. If they are 4 months or older they will also have their rabies vaccination. All p uppies are also microchipped and registered with 911PetChip . We require spay/neutering of puppies at 6-8 months old (or the appropriate age for giant breeds) by our veterinarian. The procedure is covered by the adoption fee. Alternatively, adopters can choose to have the procedure done by their own vet (proof required), and a portion of the cost will be refunded. All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated. The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300 (unless a reduced fee applies ) APPLY NOW
