Meet Cisco!-7 year old Great Pyrenees mix (breed is simply a guess!)-Weighs around 100lbs-Came into the Shelter as an owner surrender after previous guardian could no longer care for-Surrendered with Bailey A317634. Could be adopted together but not required-Typical of Livestock Guardian Breeds, Cisco does bark to alert of people approaching a property as well as when he hears cars go by-Lived in a home with teens, men and women previously-History of being left alone outdoors as well as inside and crated-Has gotten along with other dogs out in the world but can be reactive to other dogs on leash and/or behind a barrier-Not recommended to go to a home with small animals or cats due to observed prey drive in the previous home-Knows “sit”, “down”, and “shake”-Enjoys going for car rides -Cisco’s adoption has been sponsored by a generous donor! Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
