Have you ever wished you had a dog who wanted to cuddle all the time? Look no further — Cocoa is a certified cuddle-a-holic. Cocoa is a 2-year-old, 50-lb (very portable!) blue-gray beauty with oversized expressive ears, adorable freckles, and a bubbly, curious personality that shines wherever she goes. She’s affectionate, people-obsessed, and treat-motivated, which makes her a total joy to train. In fact, she learned “down” in just 20 minutes and loves showing off silly tricks like spin, weave-through-the-legs, and high-five — always at lightning speed! She’s crate trained, house trained, and walks calmly on leash. Cocoa has low-to-medium energy and is perfectly happy with one to two walks per day, followed by what she loves most: snuggling with her people. She happily goes into her crate (especially with a little food incentive) and relaxes easily once settled. Cocoa adores people so much that she once did zoomies just because maintenance workers stopped to say hi. She has done well with kids, including toddlers, but when she’s excited she can be gently mouthy (think sweet “corn-cobbing”), so a home with older kids or teens would be ideal. She is working through some leash reactivity, but all signs point to her being dog-friendly with proper introductions — she’s even been known to shower a resident dog with kisses through the crate when she wants attention. Cats are currently unknown but can be tested. Cocoa does have chronic bronchitis (similar to asthma in kids), which simply means she’ll need a non-smoking home and a daily medication to help her live a long, happy, healthy life. With her affectionate heart, smart brain, and endlessly sweet soul, Cocoa has a way of winning everyone over. The only question left is… will she win yours?
