Meet Contessa Kit Kat! It takes a special human to consider a fifteen year old pet, but we are hopeful she'll catch someone's eye. She deserves the world! Kit Kat is dreaming of finding a loving human in a cozy home where she can spend her days snuggling, laying in your arms, eating lots of wet food, and snoozing the day away. She's far from high maintenance and promises to provide so much happiness. She's just dreaming of finding someone who will appreciate her company and all the love she has to give in her golden years. She truly relishes attention, begging for chin pets and face rubs before she settles in for one of her many hours of napping each day. She is hard of hearing but navigates her foster home just fine, but would do best in a home with older kids or adults who have patience and understanding about her lack of hearing. Kit Kat came to PAWS after living in the same home for her entire life. Her owners could no longer care for her after moving to a senior care facility. She has been gentle and patient with other respectful cats and dogs, but would be just as happy as the only pet in a home. Kit Kat has hyperthyroidism which is a common cat senior condition and incredibly easy to treat with an affordable twice a day tablet that gets crushed in her food or given orally. She is a slow eater, and prefers to graze throughout the day. Kit Kat also has chronic kidney disease, another common senior cat condition. She eats a wet food diet of food formulated to be gentle on her kidneys. Since her current foster home is also home to food insecure pets who would steal her food, she spends much of her days in a separate room and she's just dreaming of curling up in bed and on the couch with you instead! Her foster mom can't say enough wonderful things about her. Kit Kat brings so much joy and happiness to a home! She's charming, quirky, and adorable. She's a gem. If you would like to learn more about Kit Kat, please reach out to her foster mom! Kit Kat will go home with a THREE MONTH CARE PACKAGE including her medication and special diet!
