Looking for your next furry BFF? We don’t have perfect dogs — but we do have dogs who are perfect for the right someone. Our goal is to match each dog with the home that fits them best and each home with the dog that will sing to your heart. Ready to adopt? Complete an application at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org/application Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet, SC Weight: 57 lbs Height: 24 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $699 Fence needed? Yes – Cooper has never lived without a fenced in yard. He requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller. Want To Know More About Me? Text Cooper to 864-441-9075 for my full story, photos and videos – we'll send everything you need to know! Here's Your Quick Peek: Cooper is a beautiful 3-year-old Standard Poodle with a gentle soul and a bright personality just waiting to shine. At first, Cooper presents as soft, thoughtful, and a bit reserved as he takes in the world around him. He likes to observe, assess, and feel safe before fully settling in – but once he does, his true personality comes out. Please note – if you want to skip the text and go straight to the application, you can find the link here: www.carolinapoodlerescue.org/application/ Must have: A home with another friendly dog would be ideal for Cooper, though an adopter with rescue experience who is committed to providing regular, positive dog interactions outside the home could also be a great match. Exercise: High. Cooper is bouncy, happy and playful when he is comfortable. Best with: An experienced rescuer. Cooper has never lived in a home. You will teach him everything. Not ideal for: Road warriors. Cooper is currently petrified of the car. Energy level: Once he is comfortable, Cooper is high energy. In his early days in your home he may seem much lower energy than what he is. Cooper is looking for a calm, stable, and predictable home where he can settle in at his own pace. Good with dogs: Yes, though he is not a fan of pushy or overwhelming dogs Good with kids: Likely no. Loud or constantly changing environments may be overwhelming for him. Cats: We aren't sure – if you have a cat let us know and we can test him. Fun fact: Cooper is a bit like a bait and switch. The dog you meet versus the dog you live with for a few weeks is night and day. Behind the shy shell is a fun dog. Potential Adopters Dogs can’t drive – and since we’re busy taking care of them, we can’t either! Please check your potential BFF’s location and make sure you’re comfortable traveling to meet them.
