Age: Approx 2.5 years old Weight: Approx 35 lbs.   Copper was found abandoned out in a field on a freezing cold night. The woman that found him brought him in from the cold. After posting in her community for lost dogs no one claimed him. The woman called foster mom Misty to take him in, which she did. Anchor Paws Rescue agreed to take him into Rescue and started vetting right away. Copper received his vaccines was neutered and Micro chipped and heartworm tested and tested positive. Copper has successfully finished his heartworm treatment and is ready to come North to find his forever family.  Foster mom Misty and foster dad Shane say Copper is a great loving boy who loves everyone he meets including other dogs. Misty says he just wants to be with people and at night will lay by your feet. This boy has wiggled right into their bed at night! Yes, he sleeps with his foster parents. :)] Cooper should be arriving in RI at the end of June. Once you have chosen a specific dog that you would like to adopt, if you would like to move forward with the adoption approval process, the next step would be to submit a $200 deposit donation. You can pay your deposit securely through PayPal at this link:    Once we have your deposit, we will hold the dog for you while we process your application. If you are not approved to adopt, or we cannot provide the dog you are interested in, your deposit will be promptly refunded. If you are approved, the deposit is applied toward the total donation of the dog. If the dog you are interested in is not a good match, we will work with you to find another dog, and your deposit will be transferred to that dog. If you change your mind for any reason, your deposit is not refundable! Transport costs are normally included in the adoption donation, unless otherwise noted.
