Meet Cora, a sweet and sensitive pittie mix with a heart of gold, looking for her forever home! Cora is a true people-lover, absolutely devoted to her humans. Don't let her size fool you – she firmly believes she's a lap dog and will happily cuddle up as close as possible, even sleeping in your bed if allowed! Cora thrives on companionship and would do best in a home with another dog who is passive and friendly. She loves playing with other pups, but needs canine companions who match her mellow demeanor. While she won't start conflicts, she will defend herself if challenged, so a calm canine friend is a must. Click here to see how well she plays with a good dog friend!  The good news? Cora is a true cat whisperer and currently lives peacefully with a feline friend! This smart girl knows her basic commands – sit, stay, come, down, and shake – and listens well. She's also a big fan of car rides, walks (though she might tug a bit when something exciting catches her eye), playing fetch with balls, and toys of all kinds. And for treats? Carrots are her absolute favorite! Cora is a champ in her heavy-duty crate and will even go in on command, which is fantastic for managing her separation anxiety. She's an angel when her people are home, but gets anxious and can be destructive when left alone, especially without another dog companion. Her ideal home would provide her with lots of company, possibly another calm dog, and continued positive reinforcement for her crating. With her quirky sleeping positions and boundless affection, Cora is ready to be your loyal shadow and best friend. If you can offer Cora a loving home with a gentle canine friend and plenty of human companionship, she will reward you with endless love and devotion! Cora is from a rescue transfer.
